Casual Production Worker
About the role
The production worker is required to work within the production area on the production line handling empty bottles and stacking full carton stock, as well as completing various other tasks within the bottling hall and warehouse.
Having a forklift licence is as advantageous.
As the role involves repetitive manual handling, applicants must be physically able to handle up to 18kg cartons for hours on end.
The Production worker role reports to the Production Manager.
Personal Qualities & Aptitude
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- A willingness to work hard even during downtimes.
- Has a safety first attitude towards people & products.
- Ability to follow procedures and work to improve internal processes.
- Ability to prioritise tasks within the scope of the role.
- Strong commitment to work health & safety and food safety.
- Able to handle the physicality of handling up to 18kg cartons continuously whilst being on your feet for the whole shift.
- Willingness to learn to operate production machinery.
Skills & Experience
- Experience working within a production/packaging/food environment preferred but not essential.
- Strong communication skills
- Strong problem solving skills and a willingness to be busy.
- A genuine desire to produce high quality results.
- A high risk forklift licence is advantageous, but not critical.
